Can I visit at the weekend?
Yes. We are always here and welcome visitors
anytime Monday to Sunday.
How do I reserve a bunny for collection when
of age?
We prefer that our customers come along and have
a look to pick which bunny they would like before reserving, but
we have and do take reservations for certain sexes or colours by
phone. We can only take payment by cash, cheque or PayPal.*
How big does a Dutch Rabbit grow?
Dutch Rabbits are a medium sized breed and
usually weigh no more than 5 and half pounds when an adult.
Can you send a bunny aboard by livestock
carriage?
I'm sorry we do not send our bunnies by any means
of postal carriage.
Can I have the Birth Date for my Rabbit?
Yes. We always give you a receipt with the Date
of Birth.
From what age can you positively tell the sex?
We usually know the sexes of all our bunnies by 5
weeks at the latest, in most cases at 4 weeks. So far we have
not been wrong in sexing due to the technique used, the sex
being recorded and the double checking before any bunny leaves
our care.
I am looking for my first bunny, I have lots
of questions about food, injections and housing?
That's fine, we welcome questions and answer them
all as best as we can, we also give you free care leaflets and a
sample of food. We also like to hear back from our customers and
see photos of the bunnies in their new homes, you can also use
the e-mail addresses on the site for sending any after purchase
questions you may have.
What should I bring on the day I collect my
new pet bunny?
We prefer our customers to bring their own pet
carrier or box, we will always line the box/carrier with hay for
you. Please also call on the day of collection to confirm the
time you will be arriving.
Are there any terms and conditions with a
holding deposit and/or reservation of a bunny?
When leaving a deposit or full payment we will
let you know when your bunny will be ready to collect, this is
after the bunny is 7 weeks old. We do expect you to call to
arrange collection around that time, if you fail to contact us
and we cannot get in contact with you, the bunny may be sold to
somebody else. We must have some contact details incase we need
to contact you.
There maybe an additional charge if we have to
hold your bunny for collection beyond the correct age collection
period. e.g. your going on holiday and will not be able to
collect your bunny during that week.
Is DutchBunnies a business or for profit?
DutchBunnies is not a business and is run purely
as a hobby, all money made from the sale of our rabbits is put
towards the continuing upkeep and welfare of our much loved
rabbits. As any rabbit breeder will agree, no profit can be made
in the breeding of rabbits.
*To reserve by PayPal £1 extra
should added to cover PayPal fee's.
